The seeding procedure for the 2016 Georgia PGA Match Play Championship will be based on the following:

1. If all 64 players are Class A Members then we will use the 2016 Player of the Year point list.

2. If any of the 64 players are Apprentices then we will use the 2016 Match Play Point List.

There will be six “North Chapter”, two “Central/East Chapters” brackets. The Central/East Chapter brackets will be mixed together

If there are not enough East or Central Chapter players to fill those brackets then the “overflow” from the North Chapter will fill those spots.

If you are in the Central/East Chapter bracket you will play someone from that bracket in the first 4 rounds.

March 16 - April 30 - Round of 64
May 1 - June 8 - Round of 32
June 9- July 8 - Round of 16
July 9 - August 8 - Round of 8
August 14 - Semis & Finals @ Peachtree GC

It is each player’s responsibility to find a location, date and time for their match. All matches must be completed within the time frame of each round.

If the players fail to complete the match by the stated dates the both players
will be disqualified (Rule 6-3a).

All match results must be reported to the Georgia PGA office when the match has been completed.

The Central & East Chapters will be combined and will comprise two brackets and the North Chapter will comprise six brackets. If there are not enough Central/East Chapter players to fill those brackets then the “overflow” from the North Chapter will fill those spots and if there are more then 16 players combined from the Central/East Chapter then the "overflow" from those chapters will be moved into the North Chapter brackets.

Matches will be arranged individually and played within the prearranged time period. The final four will meet at Peachtree GC on August 14th with the semi-finals being played in the morning and the final match being played that afternoon, only the Championship match will play that afternoon, third and fourth place will each receive the same monies and points.

The semi-final matches will tee off at 8:30 & 8:40 with the finals going off at 1:00 p.m.

The yardage for individual matches should be around 6,800-6,900 yards as the semi-finals and finals will be played from a yardage of not less then 6,800 and not greater then 7,300. Women shall play no less then 85% and no more then 90% of the yardage from where the men play.
